I learned something new this weekend when I traveled to Pittsburgh. Something I never knew about before this weekend. Apparently CSI had tackled the topic, MTV True Life dedicated an entire episode to it, and even Entourage featured a subplot involving this. Apparently everyone else knows about it and I am just the last to hop on board. I'll start from the beginning.
Thursday night, Brandi informed me about a convention going on in the
I arrived at the hotel at 7:30 pm and see the following at the concierge desk:

If you can't figure out what that is, it is someone in a Harry Potter cloak and the head of the Trix rabbit, more or less. Immediately I was reminded of what Brandi had told me. Yes! I was in the midst of a Furry Convention. This convention is actually called 'Anthrocon: Modern Stone Age Furries'. And wow it was quite interesting. The furries were everywhere.
And almost everyone there was a furry. People you didn't necessarily expect. These people in seemingly normal clothes (debatably normal?) would have tails attached to themselves! Look closely and you'll see even my photo from the elevator where I got a shot of the tail.
I'm going to suspect most of you know what a Furry is but for those that don't...let's just say the hotel rooms are probably not just being used for sleeping that evening. If you still don't know what I mean, go look it up on Wikipedia or something, I am not in the business of explaining things.
You've got to hand it to these folks in full costume though, they're doing what they want...and seem happy about it... at least that's what the expression on their mask would have you think.

"I'm not in the business of explaining things." That is what I'm taking from this Brian.
Also, the image of semen-matted polyester fur.
